OUABH - Book Review

New review guyssss.

I just put down ACFTL (the last book) and wow. I'm so thankful this was the happy ending type since it's concerning how invested I was. EvaJacks is my new ultimate ship apparently (sorry Scarlian or whatever name they had).

Just for the sake of format:

Books (in order): Once upon a broken heart, A ballad of never after, A curse of true love

Genre/Trope: Enemies to Lovers, mystery, revenge

Summary: To be really honest I don't want to give a whole formal summary of the books. Let's just go with the flow. So in OUABH Evangeline meets Jacks. Jacks is the villain in this story, a middle between a villain and a hero (iykyk) in the next, and the last (my fav) he's definitely a hero (argue with the wall).

I absolutely love the hopeless-romantic mindset of the two, however towards the end Evangeline gets very hopeful of Jacks's and I felt sorry for Jacks towards the end. He really was sacrificing his own needs for his Evangeline - and his own. It's just a perfect story with the perfect amount of good and flaws. Apollo was a disappointment, and will not deserve many words. One thing I noticed at the start of the books was that I was getting confused between places and people. I mean valid since I did give a big pause between Caraval and Finale. But towards the end it made sense, and I also realised that there are story links between the two series. The scenes discussed (like the turning into stone of a "random" family in Finale actually links to Evangeline's family, and Scarlette dressed as the Unwed Bride at one occasion) are pretty well figured. 

Pretty solid. 10/10. Go read it now. 🌸
