I am interested in two Enrichment Programs. Through Neubauer Pheonix STEM Program I look forward to learning new ways of looking into STEM, particularly Mathematics and Computer Science.
Throughout middle and high school, I had an unwavering bond with mathematics and always kept my grades a priority. Unfortunately, due to travelling and moving for the past 2-3 years, I was unable to take part in competitions and develop further interest, so I believe participating in the STEM enrichment program is a great way to level-up my math game.
I love to learn new things especially when it comes to math due to its problem-solving and demanding nature, therefore math will be my point of growth till the very end. My aspirations consist of getting a math degree in bachelor’s and master's, finally going for PHD later. The enrichment program will be beneficial since most STEM fields require significant math knowledge, so why not take it as an opportunity to grow.
Another part of my career plans is to excel at Web Development. For the last two years I have been keen in learning how to build websites, have finally set on its journey and acquired a part-time site building internship. I hope to learn more about programming and websites through the Neubauer STEM program.
Apart from sciences, I want to know how cutting-edge research is being conducted and what urban facilities are being provided at top universities like University of Chicago. Therefore, my second option is the Emerging Rural Leaders (11th) enrichment program.
I am currently working on an independent research project myself which aims to build a device using AI simulation to cure wound-based conditions, therefore any new possible research methods and perspectives would assist with the journey.
The program also talks about college application workshops which would be obviously very assisting considering the upcoming tedious application process. Students are often clueless about the dos and don’ts, so this program can be helpful too.
