side quests

When your existing hobbies aren't enough, and you think you can take up a few more, is what I'm doing since a long time. I love to write, read, sketch, bake, clean, and now I'm liking the idea of cutting my brother's hair or starting painting my dreams—literally (quite specific, isn't it).

Recently, my dreams have been so oddly creative at night that I want to keep track of what I dream. I want to doodle out some "scenes" from what I see at night. I've always had this one philosophical question: what if our dreams are extracts from our parallel lives? This way, everything might make more sense. This way, I'm living a far better life somewhere out there, no offence. Oh, and the former? I actually did cut my brother's hair—he needed it anyway. 🤡

I call these side quests. Things or tasks that can be easily put into your life, and it's therapeutic. I just wish there was more time to give to each of the thing I like doing, but what can I say, school likes the attention. The fact that I squeeze these side quests into my schedule says a lot. It's called regulating, which I'm kinda bad at. But at least I'm not bad at school—another side quest. 🙂‍↔️ And just like that, everything you are doing, maybe even eating, is a skill. It's just something you are good at and like doing. The hard part is to take out some time for it.

Apart from being athletic or a doctor, I think I can possibly take up all the hobbies and skills out there. Driving? I've waited so long, it has to be now. Motivational speaking? I might do it soon. Digital art? You just saw one, although I need to work on it. I think this might be the reason I get along with many so easily, and why I'm so encouraged to keep on doing what I like.
